In 2000, Lacy moved to the bay area to attend San Jose State University majoring in Animation & Illustration. After her sophomore year, she was accepted into the Fine Arts program at SJSU, continuing her emphasis in Animation & Illustration. During her senior year, her love for painting moved her to begin working in murals and she became apprenticed to world-renown muralist John Pugh (www.illusion-art.com). Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2005, Lacy has worked since then on numerous murals of her own throughout the state of California as well as assisted with world-renown muralist John Pugh on projects in Hawaii, Alaska, and New Zealand. She now operates her own mural business in Oakdale California, “Beautiful Murals”, as an independent artist and is ready to bring your dreams to life.

“Art is something I’ve always loved. My first mural was for my sister, and I fell in love with the energy that comes with doing a large painting. It feels energetic, spontaneous, and creative all at once! I crave that creative euphoria, and feel blessed that I can brighten the lives of others with my ability.”


About Lacy Knudson

Lacy Nicole Knudson was born in Anaheim, California, but grew up in the city of Big Bear, in the nearby San Bernadino Mountains. Ever since childhood art has been a love of hers, and she knew that from an early age she knew she would grow to be an artist. Drawing enjoyment and inspiration from the work of her aunt, Lacy was active in her artistic pursuits all through school. She was written about in the local paper her senior year for having the best painted parking space on campus.
